About Adam

Adam McGuffie founded Joy Ethic, a freelance creative agency focused on helping mission-driven organizations use their brand for good, and serves in non-profit development with the American Bible Society, a two hundred year old non-profit focused on sharing the Bible with those who need it most. These writings, of course, like the Big Lebowski so clearly stated, “Yeah? Well, you know, that's just like uh, your opinion, man.” and only reflect Adam’s opinion and no one else’s.

Adam lives in Oregon with his wife Kelly and their two children. He worked for The Salvation Army Cascade Division beginning in 2021, serving as the Director of Communications and Marketing for the development department. Prior to his time at The Salvation Army, Adam worked for George Fox University, most recently serving as an expert advisor on Digital Media and Communications. Before working in higher education, Adam worked in non-profit development in a variety of pastoral ministry roles in Oregon, Missouri, and Maryland. He is a graduate of Portland Seminary of George Fox University and the University of Valley Forge.
